A water based flame retardant, protective coating suitable for polystyrene and other rigid foams. It is an acrylic slurry with the consistency of wet plaster. Foamcoat dries to a super hard durable coating that resists chipping and cracking. It can be smoothed with a gloved hand while wet, or sanded and carved with detail when dry. Foamcoat is a suberb ready to use texturing agent that can be used to create effects such as bark and rock. Occasionally settling can occur and will then require a tough stirring . It is hard enough to be used for York stone texture on stage floors, even when subjected to wheels from heavy scenic trucks. Coverage will depend on the thickness of application, a texture with an average thickness of 2mm will require 2 litres to cover 1 square metre. There are some pictures of samples of Foamcoat applied by hopper spray gun in the "Rosco Sample Board" section of this website.
