These genuine "Jenny" brushes are ideal for applying and laying off high gloss finishes such as enamel or varnish. The rollers are designed for rapid application of paint and varnish which can be layed off with the foam brushes. They are easy to clean but also cheap enough to throw away making them ideal for touching up work. The finish achieved with these brushes is first class. Widely used by classic boatyards across the country.
Although Jenny Painting Systems recommend these brushes for all paint types (except shellac) we have had one problem in July 2004 with with a two pack zinc phoshate primer called Epidac which managed to disolve the rollers causing considerable trouble for the user. Flints have made a full refund including the cost of the paint which came from another supplier and we are currently trying to establish why this occurred. In the meantime we would recommend that you test the brush if you are using it on two packs with agressive solvents. A foam brush is probably not the ideal brush for applying heavy bodied primers when you may need the stiffness of a good quality bristle brush to manoeuvre and work the paint.
Otherwise Flints have sold many thousands of these brushes and rollers with no complaints.
