Classic Polyester Three Strand Per Drum

3 Strand Classic Polyester (6mm diameter) per 200m (ROP117206DM)
A traditional buff coloured three strand polyester rope which is easy to splice and comfortable to handle. They make ideal mooring warps for traditional craft. Although nylon is often recommended for mooring lines because of its stretch properties I find it is too difficult to control especially on springs in heavy weather. Nylon octoplait will stretch almost 70% before breaking making positioning craft very difficult. The stretch on these classic polyester lines is about right to prevent snubbing and polyester retains its strength when wet (unlike nylon which weakens enormously when damp). Unlike some makes, our Liros made rope is soft to handle and easy to tie off.
Useful for lashings, lee cloth cords, lanyards etc.
