At £4.41 a roll this is not a cheap tape but once you have experienced using it you will realise what value it represents.
Even after 14 days of sunlight the 3M blue will remove cleanly from the surface. There's nothing worse than having to spend hours with solvent soaked rags trying to remove glue residue from brightwork. If the glue residue remains on bootops it becomes a breeding ground for weed to grow on. It is especially good value on those complex masking tasks around the decks as it is not necessary to remove it every night. The blue colour is a 3M trademark. Each roll is bound to save you an hours work compared to cheap tapes so although its not cheap, its certainly good value.

We searched for years to find a low tack tape with a distinctive colour so that you (and our staff) could distinguish it from ordinary masking masking tape. We now import this wonderful purple tape from Germany and it is a real joy to use. It is just perfect for masking boottop lines as it will peel off easily in one piece from antifouling paint without causing damage. I use it for nearly all my varnish masking because it peels off so quickly and with no damage. Its only minor drawback is that it doesn't stick very well it itself so if you are wrapping items you may find 3M Blue tape a better choice. Otherwise this is a winner and well worth the money.
