Weave Filler 916 is a highly elastic material for open weave textiles from the finest bobbinet to inch square architectural net.
Weave Filler 916 will flow, uniformly, in one brush stroke, to completely fill spaces in open weave fabrics. Once dry, the coating can be deeply textured by the addition of further layers and readily over-painted with emulsion paints and glazes. Because of it's flexability, fabrics treated with Weave Filler 916 can be rolled and will remain elastic even at temperatures below freezing. Weave Filler 916 is often used as a non-slip coating applied on the back of rugs, runners etc. and is most useful as an edge bending sealer to eliminate fraying on textiles thats otherwise would have to be seamed.
This product is also available in a fire resistant version (916SE). The fireproofing chemical used may discolour some dark coloured materials so please undertake a test before using. Only available in 10 kg size.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Weave Filler 916 can be diluted with water and applied by brush, roller or spray equipment. It is essential that the fabric in question is placed on a underlayment film (e.g Covering film such as polythene). It also helps to dust the surface of the film with talcum powder which prevents the film from stciking to itself if rolled or folded.
