An acrylic high-solids coating specially designed for set construction. This is a new coating that we have been testing. When wet it feels quite gritty and may require some mixing prior to use. When applied to polystyrene it forms a rock solid coating light brown in colour but can be easily painted with Paint Plus or Rosco paints. The coating is so hard that it is impossible to pierce it with a finger nail or to dent it by hand. Although the finish was very hard it also remained flexible and was extremely difficult to break [impossible by my hands!]. We were very impressed by the results. Suitable for use on polystyrene, concrete, brick, wallboard, plaster, wood, chipboard amd plywood. Use on interior or exterior surfaces. Can be applied with a gloved hand, stiff brush, trowel or a hopper spray gun.
Minimum recommended film thickness 1mm, maximum 3mm per coat. Extra strength can be obtained with more coats. Touch dry in 1hr, recoatable in 3hrs. Full water resistant cure may take several days.
Impart impact and structural strength to lightweight construction materials such as polystyrene.

The join is fantastically strong, you can't pull it apart, yet it is easily released with no sticky mess. This new design mechanism is designed to reliably release weights of up to 50kg. It can be used to drop items such as dummies or cables on cue from a remote position. The load can be released as a straight drop or it can release at angles up to horizontal. The item is attached to a hook arm which pivots when the magnet is energised. A clever spring is incorporated to throw the arm clear of the magnet when light loads are used. A safety catch is provided so that the mechanism can be tested prior to the show without releasing the load. The catch should be locked on until it is safe to release the load. This new design release mechanism is supplied with AMP CPC Series 1 connectors so that mechanisms can be daisy chained. There is no longer any need for a special bracket as the new mounting incorporates threaded locations to take M12 bolts (max depth 20mm). Doughty half couplers can be used to make a quick fixing to scaffold size tubes.
