Chopped Strand Mat 450g/m [type CTG] This is the most popular weight of chopped strand mat [CSM] suitable for most laminating. Use of a fin roller or paddle roller [see page 1.74] will greatly aid effective wetting out, essential for strong long-lasting laminates. The mat comes 1m wide and is available per metre or by a 37kg box containing a roll of approx 76 metres. Not suitable for use with Jesmonite.
Surfacing Tissue [ACM1] To provide a smoother finish to laminating work a surfacing tissue can be applied. The tissue is 1m wide.
Woven Roving 600g/m Woven roving is used to obtain higher strength weight ratios than is possible with chopped strand mat [CSM]. Available per roll approximately 40kg [72m]
Paper Rope To stiffen large areas of glass reinforced fibre, paper rope can be used to act as formers for laminated ribs on the rear of the structure.
