A water based flame retardant, protective coating suitable for polystyrene and other rigid foams. It is an acrylic slurry with the consistency of wet plaster. Foamcoat dries to a super hard durable coating that resists chipping and cracking. It can be smoothed with a gloved hand while wet, or sanded and carved with detail when dry. Foamcoat is a suberb ready to use texturing agent that can be used to create effects such as bark and rock. Occasionally settling can occur and will then require a tough stirring. It is hard enough to be used for York stone texture on stage floors, even when subjected to wheels from heavy scenic trucks. Coverage will depend on the thickness of application, a texture with an average thickness of 2mm will require 2 litres to cover 1 square metre. There are some pictures of samples of Foamcoat applied by hopper spray gun in the "Rosco Sample Board" section of this website.
