Varaform has become a best seller since we introduced it in 2002. It is a natural cotton mesh impregnated with a thermoplastic resin. When heated with hot water or hot air it quickly softens so that it can be worked into any shape. It sets on cooling to form a rigid lightweight armature. Varaform will stick to itself in its warm state and it can be re-heated and re-moulded as many times as required. It is non toxic and has an indefinite shelf life. Varaform is biodegradable, water resistant and is 50% lighter than plaster of Paris making it ideal for use as elaborate masks. It is extremely easy and clean to use and could potentially save the propmaker hours of messy work. Available in three grades. We now also stock smaller sheet sizes ideal for masks or for sampling.
