A worm gear winch of cast iron construction with the gears enclosed in an oilbath for smooth operation. It will make a clicking noise when hauling but is silent lowering. Features a self locking friction type brake, hardened worm shaft, and adjustable crank radius. A good choice for bars which need occasional access for maintenance but it is normally too slow for use during performance. For transport reasons these winches are supplied dry.
