The arguments over nylon versus polyester will no doubt continue but we can’t stock everything and have decided to stock polyester.

Here are our reasons:
- Polyester is not affected by water whereas nylon loses around 10% of its strength when wet.
- As anchor rodes are usually long there should be ample stretch on polyester to absorb shocks.
- The construction of the polyester squareline gives a working stretch in excess of 20%.
- Polyester has excellent chafe resistance. Chafe would be my main worry in a stormy anchorage.
- Available in Black (White can be ordered in as a special)
- Polyester has excellent resistance to sunlight

This Liros Squareline is very soft and easy to handle and flakes down without kinking. It is easy to splice and to join to chain.
