Electro Kabuki

These useful devices have hundreds of applications on-stage, under-stage and in the flytowers. This latest design will reliably release weights of 50KG. It can be used to drop items such as dummies or cables on cue from a remote position. The item is attached to a hook arm which pivots when the magnet is energised. A clever spring is incorporated to throw the arm clear of the magnet when light loads are used. A safety catch is provided so that the mechanism can be tested prior to the show without releasing the load. The mechanism can be daisy-chained so that more than one device can be operated simultaneously. The mechanism is suspended from a standard scaff bar using the Doughty half coupler provided (not shown). As no system is 100% reliable the Electro Kabuki must not be used in an application where an untimely release or failure to release might lead to death or injury. The mechanism is controlled by a firing box which has a warning light to show when it is armed. The firing box comes with a 2M mains lead and control leads are available in a range of lengths.
